Reviews about Vision Express Opticians

My two year old cheerfully snapped the arm off my wife's specs. I rang Vision Express on the off chance that they may be able to help. I spoke to Shaun (Sean?) who suggested I pop down and take a look. I did. On arriving, he took a look and suggested that due to the nature of the break, there would be nothing he could do. We spoke for a little while longer and he suggested he see if there might be something he could do to help. Long story short, he fitted a spare arm onto the wife's spec's, gave some good advice and gave me his card. Really impressed at the level of service shown for a non-customer. I have paid a lot of money only to be treated with less consideration. Really good to see (quite literally)

So awhile back I went up to Vision Express to have my glasses examed or at the very least put right as one of the lenses in my glassses felt as lose as hell and ready to tumble free any minute. Anyhow I arrive at the store and explain to the woman behind the counter why I have come and what I needed help with. The woman hardly even bothered to look at them and said that they didn't need to be adjusted. I asked her politely that I would like a second opinion as I didn't want to take a daft risk for nothing just so I could end up with one of the lenses of my glasses coming lose completely and landing on the pavement in a thousand bits The woman gave me a dirty look an said in a sarcastic and totally unprofessional manner I have been with this branch of Vision Express for three years and I say you don't need a second opinion. An amazing statement coming from that dark haired barmy bird. I am astounded that she has lasted this long with their company when she carries on like that and gives myself and sod knows who else nonsense they just don't deserve. weither she likes or not every customer is entitled to a second opinion counting me I looked her right in the eye and told her calmly but assertively that the supposed years she had been with Vision Express had no bearing on this and didn't disbar me from having a second opinion and I wouldn't leave until I got a second opinion. The silly girl backed down and got me a gentleman called Tom and let me say he was 100 times more helpful that that woman was and he paid far better attention to studying the lenses of my glasses before delivering his verdict. I know not when I will have to visit Vision Express but I hope that when I go there again I am not confronted by a child in a woman's body daring to maskerade as an adult. Like it's my fault she forgot the golden rule of the company that she apparently serves vision taken seriously.

Appointment cancelled due to opticians illness - understandable and no problem. No call back to re-arrange so called them - no appointments until mid January. Would have been nice if the cancelled appointments had been contacted and prioritised!! Off to a more customer focussed opticians!
