Reviews about Reliance Garage Ltd

I purchased a Ford C Max from this garage, very impressed with the car initially; the vehicle had a low mileage and reasonable price point; additionally the garage provided a 3 month warranty [at the time I didn’t check the length or value of the warranty through ignorance - they gave me a £250 warranty, which seems laughable]. Unfortunately 3 weeks after owning the vehicle an error message flagged up: “Power Steering Malfunction”, on a separate note I also noticed that the breaks were very squeaky and the pads sounded worn. Reliance, to their credit was happy to fix the brakes; but they were less than helpful with the power steering issue. They proposed fitting a new battery into the vehicle—based off the advice of an electrical mechanic who felt the battery wasn’t outputting enough juice; curiously he didn’t test the battery levels to confirm if the battery was an issue—leaving me with 2 months and 1 weeks worth of warranty; I am sure I don’t have to point out that would leave me with a small window for a fix or refund if the power steering fault recurred. I spoke to other garages who advised that swapping the battery would do no good, they advised me to ask Reliance to guarantee any work that would come up within a year relating to the error code I had received - Reliance wasn’t happy with that, they demanded the car back and had the cheek to accuse me of being “the sort of customer that would never be happy”. In short they are the kind of garage who are sell cheap vehicles, with worthless warranties in the hope that your car issues appear after the warranty expires. They also plan to resell the blue C Max, I doubt they will fix the issue as TBH they seemed to be absolutely clueless. It truly has been a nightmare experience, it seems Reliance don’t care about putting unsafe vehicles out on the road so long as they can turn a profit. In short, don’t rely on Reliance.
